Sarajevo Downtown
Sarajevo is the leading political, social and cultural center in Bosnia and Herzegovina and a prominent cultural center in the Balkans. The city is famous for its traditional cultural and religious diversity, with members of Islam, Orthodoxy, Catholicism and Judaism that existed for centuries.
The Trebević ski lift, in Sarajevo jargon known as the lift, was officially opened on May 3, 1959, connecting Bistrik (583 m / n) with Vidikovac to Trebević (1160 m / n). A large number of citizens, who "occupied" the basement, and the sloping streets and pavements over which it was passing, were present in the traffic lanes. The new Sarajevo ski lift was officially opened on April 6, 2018, on the day of the City of Sarajevo. With a total of 33 modern bouquets, this new system is able to transport up to 1,200 passengers per hour from the city to Trebević, with a one-way ride for about 9 minutes.
Thanks to the configuration of land in Sarajevo and its surroundings, there are places from where it provides an excellent panoramic view of Sarajevo. One of these places is the Avaz Twist Tower, Restaurant Park of the Princes, Vidikovac (Trebević), yellow / white on Vratnik, as well as numerous roofs of high-rise buildings around the city.
